2006 Spring Seminar - Okinawa! 2nd day - 第二日

Friday was our “free” day, and we were blessed with good weather and plenty to do. We found a Mexican restaurant, “Obbligato” across from Kadena AFB and it was so great that Hiromi and I went back the next day for more. We shopped for souvenirs and went sight-seeing. Later, we went to the “sister-hotel” and beached and snacked. Hiromi took a boat ride, and I took pictures.

金曜日は唯一のフリータイム。お天気もよく出来る事もたくさんあって私たちは祝福されました。嘉手納空軍基地の近くにオブリガートという名のメキシカンレストランを見つけました。とても美味しかったので、今日もランチに来てしまいました。ショッピングをして姉妹ホテル、ルネッサンスのビーチで遊んだりケーキを食べたりしました。ヒロミはモーターボートに乗り、ジョンは写真撮り。

The water is emerald green in places and deep blue in others. It is hard to believe that Okinawa has been though that kind of trouble when you see it, because it is just so beautiful and pristine. I think you can tell from the pictures that it is gorgeous. I have been to both Okinawa and Hawaii twice, and I think I like Okinawa better.

海はところによって深い青だったりエメラルドグリーンだったり、とても美しくて息をのむほどです。そんな風景を見ている時に、かつて悲惨な時代を通ったとは信じがたいことです。　写真を見てもどんなにゴージャスかわかるでしょう。　これでハワイと沖縄と両方2回づつ行ったわけだけど、沖縄のほうが、私は好きです。
